The Pits

for everyone

It started life as a half done Raleigh Equpie single speed hack, battled for on Ebay and acquired for under a hundred quid.

I immediately set to work with an angle grinder and chisel to rid it of any excess metal and protrusions. Next came nearly 3 weeks of graft with the nitromors...I'll never do that again.

4 coats of primer, 4 of gloss black( they'd run out of olive green and I'm impatient) and 3 coats of lacquer later and she was ready to reassemble. A new black headset was all that was needed to make her road worthy, however... I splashed out on some profile base bars and a cyclocross brake lever for to finish the minimalist look. A couple of stickers and some bar tape later and hey presto.

     One fast, fun hack.

Just got to get me some muscles now.

you should get some name stickers made up for your creation, give it a model name to confuse the rocko old boys, something like "pubnback"

Personal taste is a wonderful thing. You should try and find some JP:)
The original looked very close to a shell suit I had bought for me. I never wore it, honest.
